In an effort to bolster their midfield, Arsenal Football Club is reportedly setting their sights on the acquisition of 21-year-old prodigy Moises Caicedo from Brighton & Hove Albion this summer.

The Gunners had initially shown interest in the Ecuadorian midfielder during the January transfer window, but negotiations failed to come to fruition. However, recent reports from trusted sources, including Football Transfers , suggest that Brighton & Hove Albion now anticipate Arsenal to meet their valuation and secure the services of the talented youngster.

Caicedo’s desire to seek greener pastures was no secret back in January, as the promising midfielder openly expressed his intention to depart from Brighton & Hove Albion. Despite this, the Seagulls managed to persuade the Ecuadorian international to commit his future to the club, signing a contract extension. It is worth noting that Caicedo currently carries an estimated market value of £75 million, and it is believed that Arsenal are prepared to meet such a substantial financial demand.

Interestingly, Arsenal has also been linked with a potential move for West Ham United’s influential captain, Declan Rice, a 24-year-old English international valued at £100 million. Should the Gunners contemplate pursuing both midfield targets, it would undoubtedly signal a significant investment in their midfield ranks. However, it remains to be seen whether Arsenal’s management will opt for one of the two players or pursue an alternative strategy altogether.

Caicedo’s contributions to Brighton & Hove Albion this season have been pivotal in securing their European qualification. With aspirations of joining a larger club, the opportunity to don the Arsenal shirt presents an enticing prospect for the young talent.

Recognized as one of the Premier League’s most promising defensive midfielders, Caicedo’s arrival would undoubtedly bolster Arsenal’s control over the middle of the park while providing a defensive shield alongside Thomas Partey.
