Chelsea considers part-exchange deal for Zakaria to secure permanent transfer

Chelsea may offer Ruben Loftus-Cheek in a part-exchange deal to sign midfielder Denis Zakaria from Juventus permanently at the end of the season.

Chelsea FC is reportedly considering making the loan deal of Swiss international midfielder Denis Zakaria a permanent transfer at the end of the current season. The player was signed from Juventus FC and, despite struggling to make an impact initially, has managed to impress in recent months.

According to Italian outlet CalciomercatoWeb, the English Premier League club could offer midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek in a potential part-exchange deal for Zakaria. Loftus-Cheek has had a difficult time securing a regular starting position at Stamford Bridge, and his contract expires in 2024.

It appears that Chelsea is willing to let the player go in the upcoming summer transfer window, and Juventus might consider a swap deal involving both midfielders.

Zakaria seems to be surplus to requirements at Juventus, and it is unlikely that he will return to the Italian club. However, if he can receive assurances of regular game time from manager Graham Potter, he might consider staying at Stamford Bridge and continue his career progress with Chelsea.

It remains to be seen if Juventus would accept a part-exchange deal, and negotiations are expected to take place over the next few months between the two clubs. Nonetheless, if Chelsea can secure the signing of Zakaria on a permanent basis, it would strengthen their midfield options and provide valuable cover for the likes of N’Golo Kante.
