Manchester United legend Roy Keane has praised Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah style of play and has compared him to Ian Wright.

Eddie Nketiah’s outstanding display in Arsenal’s crucial 3-2 victory over Manchester United has earned him high praise from former United captain Roy Keane, who even went as far as to compare the young striker to Gunners legend Ian Wright.

Nketiah, who has recently stepped up to lead the line for the Gunners, scored a brace in the match, including the winning goal in the dying moments of the game. His two goals now make him Arsenal’s top scorer in all competitions with nine goals.

Keane acknowledged the striking similarities between Nketiah and Wright, who scored an impressive 185 goals during his Arsenal career.

Speaking after the match, the former Manchester united player told Sky Sports: “He [Nketiah] reminds me in his movement and even his interviews – and I’m gonna put him under huge pressure here – of Ian Wright. Like he used to do, not getting many touches but that sharpness in the box, which we see as well for the winning goal. If you’re hanging around the box and you’re a sharp striker, you’ll get your chances and your goals.”

The victory keeps Arsenal’s unlikely title bid on track, maintaining a five-point cushion over Manchester City, who have played one more game than Mikel Arteta’s side, at the top of the Premier League table.
