Former Arminia Bielefeld goalkeeper Stefan Ortega has signed for Manchester City, according to the British club’s official website.
The 29-year-old goalkeeper moved to Manchester City on a free agent basis as his contract with Arminia expired yesterday, June 30.
This is a fantastic career move for me. “Manchester City are an amazing team, a world-class team in every sense. My dream is to get the chance to join this squad as soon as possible and be part of the club’s success. “I can’t wait to get to work, meet my teammates and start working with Josep Guardiola and his staff,” Manchester City’s official website quotes Ortega as saying.
Internet portal Transfermarkt values the goalkeeper at €6m. Ortega has played a total of 220 games for Arminia Bielefeld.
