Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has expressed that he will leave the decision regarding a potential summer transfer to the club’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis.
The 24-year-old had a highly successful season in 2022/23, impressively scoring 26 goals in Serie A and playing a vital role in Napoli’s first league title win in over 30 years.
Forward’s remarkable performance as the league’s top scorer, earning him the Capocannoniere trophy, has attracted interest from clubs such as Manchester United and Chelsea.
Chelsea have identified him as their primary target for the summer, while Manchester United are seeking a replacement after Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure.
Bayern Munich are also keeping an eye on Osimhen’s situation, although any potential buyer would likely need to meet Napoli’s valuation, which could be around €150 million.
Despite the transfer links, Osimhen prefers to follow the natural course of events.
“I don’t know, the president has to decide that,” Osimhen told DAZN when speaking about his future at Napoli.
“I love the people of Napoli, they have shown me so much love. For me, I don’t mind, the president decides and I will just go with the flow.”
