Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on a deal for the highly-rated Chelsea forward, Jude Soonsup-Bell, according to The Athletic . The 19-year-old, who celebrated his birthday earlier this month, has been at Stamford Bridge for seven years, but is now seeking better first-team opportunities.
Soonsup-Bell’s potential move has attracted interest from several European and Premier League clubs, but it appears that Spurs have made their move before the transfer window closes on Tuesday.
The forward’s contract at Chelsea expires at the end of the season and Spurs plan to integrate him into the academy setup for the remainder of the campaign. He will then look to secure a loan move for some first-team experience in the summer.
The highly-regarded forward joined Chelsea in 2015 after a stint at Swindon Town. With his contract set to expire at the end of the current season, Tottenham have secured a deal to bring him to North London, with the transfer expected to be completed within the next 24 hours.
