Royal Antwerp defender Daniel Opare will not have his contract renewed when it expires at the end of the season, GHANASoccernet.com understands.
The 29-year-old recently recovered from a lengthy injury-layoff but could not make a return to action before the season was cancelled.
Opare suffered a knee injury during a preseason friendly against KFC Brasschaat and had to undergo surgery.
He lost his place to the strong Aurelio Buta.
Having gained experience with teams such as FC Porto, Standard, Besiktas and Augsburg, he should struggle to find a new team.
Opare has signed a two-year deal with an option for an additional one year.
