"No errand boys on Ghana FA Executive Committee"-Takyi Arhin

Out-spoken football administrator Takyi Arhin wants ''men of substance" to be elected onto the Ghana FA Executive Committee.

According to the ex BA Stars CEO, the game has stalled in the past few years due to growing sycophancy and greed on the part of some officials of the GFA who he describes as ''lame ducks''.

"I get very excited when I hear names like Emmanuel Kyeremeh, Moses Armah and Felix Ansong picking forms for the executive committee position because these are men of substance, not errand boys," he told Asempa FM.

"These are very accomplished personalities and therefore there will be no way one can influence or coheres them in taking any kind of decision that will hurt Ghana Football. In fact, Ghana Football is about to get richer with these people involved."

Arhin has labelled candidates Randy Abbey, Kofi Manu and Samuel Oduro Nyarko as ''errand boys'' who don't have the courage to stand their grounds.

"They must be all booted out of the system," he added.

Nominations was closed last Friday with the elections scheduled to take place on a detailed time-table.

Constituent bodies will be the first to go to the polls on 13 July, while the others are scheduled between 20 July and 2 August.

The swearing in of the new executive is scheduled for August 4.
