Football clubs in the country will not get stimulus packages from government during this difficult period of inactivity due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This was revealed by a member of Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports and Culture Hon. Alex Agyekum.

Last week, the Ghana Football Association held a meeting with the Ministry of Youth and Sports on how government would assist clubs and players.

''The hundred million dollars that the government is using to fight coronavirus is to fight for human life so football people should forget that they will get a share from it to compensate their players,'' he told Nimde3 FM.

''Rather they should all pray for the government to be able to combat the virus aftermath the government will know how to do to help them but for now they should relax a little bit.''
