Nordsjaelland defender, Abdul Mumuni says he is open to a move away from the club as his contract is set to expire in the summer.

Abdul Mumuni got the winner for Nordsjaelland against Sønderjyske over the weekend to mark his first goal for the club.

The former Right to Dream Academy player in an interview stated talks are ongoing with the club over his contract but is still open to new offers.

“I have a dialogue with the club, but I open the possibilities. Right now, I'm still fully committed to the team, and I hope my game shows, too, so it's not just words. But right now I'm just focusing on the league, says Abdul Mumin to Frederiksborg County newspaper.

Mumuni further said he hopes to stay with the club and develop to his full potential should he extend his stay with the club.

“This is a good environment to develop in, and I am still growing. I hope to develop even more and know that I have good people around me.

“I don't know what will happen this summer. I focus on the positive. And my dialogue with North Zealand is positive. So this is also an option”.

Nordsjaelland head coach hopes the 21-year old will sign a new deal with the club.

“Mumin has chosen to keep his cards open - ever since the summer holidays. That's fair enough. Nobody gets pushed out as long as they do their job. A contract has been made and this applies to both us as a club and the player himself, says the head coach”.
