New Ghanaian teenage sensation Francis Abu was named Man of the Match on Saturday after scoring two goals and setting up another in Nordsjaelland's shock victory over champions Midtjylland in Denmark.
The 19-year-old was handed the award after the match after fans across the European country voted him the best for the game.
Abu chose the biggest stage to annouce his arrival in the Danish top-flight when he recorded his first brace in their 4-1 victory over Danish champions FC Midtjylland.
The teenager scored the opening goal for the hosts 11 minutes into the game at the Right to Dream stadium in the Danish Superliga.
Abu scored again on the stroke of halftime with scorcher to restore the lead for Nordsjælland after Midtjylland had pulled parity in the 34th minute.
The 19-year-old then set up Martin Frese to smash home the home team’s third goal six minutes from recess.
Compatriot Kamaldeen Sulemana added the last goal for the home side in the 70th minute.
Abu who is a Right to Dream Academy graduate has now scored 3 goals and assisted once in 4 appearances in the Danish top-flight this term.
