The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Akufo-Addo visited Ghana coaching legend Cecil Jones Attuquayefio at his residence on Wednesday to wish him a speedy recovery.

The 2000 CAF coach of the year has been sick for nearly two years and has been receiving medical treatment at the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital.

A worried Akufo-Addo said to Attuquayefio: ''I heard the disturbing news when I was on the just ended 'All hands on deck' tour of our party and decided to come and see you today, see how you’re doing and wish you a very speedy recovery.''

''I’m happy to see that you are recovering and we will all continue to pray that God restores all your strength so that you can continue very actively with the good work you do for mother Ghana. I’m also happy to see your friends by your side, particularly the indefatigable Rev. Osei Kofi,'' noted Nana Addo.

Nana Addo donated toiletries, drinks and fruits together with a sum of money to the former Hearts of Oak coach.
