Kwesi Nyantakyi says out-going Ghana's sports minister Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye has been "confined to the dustbin of history" following a 'dead-rubber' defeat of his ruling National Democratic Congress in the country's Presidential elections last week.

The FA boss insists the federation will move on after Vanderpuye's ruling NDC suffered a crushing and humiliating defeat in December's Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

“The sports minister was antagonistic to us but we were not and I don't know why he did that but now he belongs to history lets just forget about him and think ahead." he told Accra-based Starr FM

Popular opposition leader Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was elected after he delivered a historic and famous win against incumbent John Dramani Mahama.

The short tenure of the Member of Parliament for Odododiodoo constituency was characterized by perceived antagonism and witch-hunting, leading to several public clashes of the two outfits.

Vanderpuye was tagged as a 'serial-caller' after claiming deep-seated knowledge of the game than members of the federation.

Officials of the Ghana FA became defensive with several members berating the out-going the minister for his public utterances.

The Ghana FA will be hoping the in-coming sports minister will improve the cordial relationship that has existed between the two parties prior to the appointment of the out-going tough-talking sports minister.
