Nyantakyi's defeated opponent appointed for Black Stars game

The man Kwesi Nyantakyi defeated in Wednesday's Caf elections, Anjorin Moucharafou, has been appointed the match commissioner for Ghana's crucial African Cup of Nations against Congo next month.

In a direct response, Nyantakyi has rejected an appointment to be the match commissioner for the game between Nigeria and Ethiopia scheduled for the same weekend.

These revelations came to light on Thursday after Caf held its first meeting under a new executive committee.

The Ghana FA boss wants to travel for the Black Stars game in Brazzaville to ensure that there's fairness.

The Black Stars must win the game to ensure that they maintain their chances of reaching the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

The appointment of Moucharafou has raised eyebrows of perceived machinations to give Ghana a raw deal.

Hayatou openly backed the Benin FA boss in Wednesday's elections but he was humiliated when voters snubbed the Cameroonian's plea to vote for the Ghanaian candidate.
