King Faisal Chief Executive Vincent Sowah Odotei has taken full responsibility for King Faisal's demotion from the Ghana Premier League.

The Kumasi-based side's 16-year reign in the top flight ended last Sunday after their 1-2 home defeat to Heart of Oak on the final day.

The disqualified FA presidential aspirant has shoulder the blame for their dwindling fortunes but insists they’ll work their way back to the top next year.

"I will say I have shoulder the blame for the club's sorry exit from the league but we did our best but obviously our best was not enough," Odotei said.

''Many things worked against us and most are public knowledge and I will not delve into that but let’s look forward because we can’t turn back the hand of time."
