Ghana goalkeeper Richard Ofori has officially joined AmaZulu FC on a permanent transfer, the club announced on Friday.

The 30-year-old shot-stopper, who was a free agent after his contract with Orlando Pirates expired, is set to bolster AmaZulu's goalkeeping department in the South African Premiership this season.

Ofori, who has previously played for both Pirates and Maritzburg United in South Africa, expressed his delight at returning to KwaZulu Natal.

The province holds a special place in his heart, having first arrived in South Africa there.

"I'm thrilled to be back in KZN," Ofori said. "It feels like home, and I'm eager to make a significant contribution to AmaZulu."

The experienced goalkeeper emphasized his commitment to working hard and helping the team achieve success.

AmaZulu, as one of South Africa's oldest and most storied clubs, is a prestigious destination for any player, and Ofori is excited to be part of the journey.

Ofori also praised the quality of AmaZulu's goalkeeping department, highlighting the importance of unity among the goalkeepers.

"We have a fantastic group of goalkeepers at AmaZulu," he stated.

"Together, we'll work as a team to support the club and achieve our objectives."

As Ofori settles into his new surroundings at AmaZulu, his experience, combined with his passion for the game, makes him a valuable addition to the club's squad.
