Metz has signed Brazilian centre-back Jemerson on a season-long contract.
After a temporary return to his homeland, the 29-year-old, who spent four years with Monaco and played a key role in the club's Ligue 1 title triumph in 2016-17, is back in French football.
After a short-term contract with Corinthians, the defender signed a free transfer to Les Grenats, who are presently in 18th position in the Moselle.
Jemerson signed a five-year contract with Ligue 1 club Monaco on January 31, 2016. During the 2016–17 season, he was a starter as the club won the league and advanced to the UEFA Champions League semifinals. He departed the club when his contract was terminated on November 2, 2020.
