German Bundesliga giants Schalke 04 have officially established contact with representatives of Ghana forward Jordan Ayew over a possible summer move.

According to reports by Get French Football News, Schalke manager Jens Keller has maintained his interest in the attacker and has initiated talks with the player's agent Willie McKay.

However, no concrete agreement has been reached between Olympique Marseille who own the player and the German side and the Veltins Arena club could change their mind over the striker after watching him for Ghana at the 2014 World Cup.

While Schalke have been linked with the striker, Willie McKay confirmed last week that English side West Bromwich Albion are also monitoring the striker.

The 22-year-old scored 6 Ligue 1 goals last season.
