OFFICIAL: Medeama sign former Tema Youth defender Baba Abdulai on a three-year deal
Baba Abdulai has joined Medeama on a three-year deal

Medeama have completed the signing of defender Musah Baba Abdulai on a free transfer from Tema Youth, hours after announcing the signing of striker Abdul Basit Adam. 

The talented centre-back has been roped in by the two-time FA Cup champions as they shape up for the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League season.

Baba has remain at Tarkwa until 2023 after signing a three-year contract.

"I am extremely happy to be part of this fantastic family and I look forward to my career here in Tarkwa," Baba told the club's official website.

"To be part of this wonderful crop of players is amazing and we hope to work hard for our fans this season.

"Joining Medeama is a dream come true and I look forward to an exciting stay.

Coach Samuel Boadu added: "Baba is an exceptional defender and he will provide us with several alternatives," he said

"We are looking forward to working with him and making his stay an enjoyable one.

"Calm, cool and collected, his versatility will be crucial for us in our quest to excel this season. He is a top professional, who will be an asset to this great club.

He becomes the latest addition after the club confirmed the signing of striker Abdul Basit Adam and midfielder Godfred Kwadwo Asamoah. 

Baba adds up the depth in squad in the defensive department with Daniel Egyin, Rashid Alhassan and Ali Ouattara all available.

He spent three seasons at Tema Youth which followed his two-year stint at former FA Cup winners Nania FC.
