Ghanaian Ofosu Appiah is unlikely to feature for Jomo Cosmos in Friday night's Premiership clash with Ajax Cape Town at Cape Town Stadium.
The centre-back is still struggling with a knee injury he sustained against Bidvest Wits late last month.
"Appiah has been undergoing treatment for over week and we are still monitoring his progress, " said Cosmos physiotherapist Ricardo Rebelo on the club's website.
"But his chances of making it for the Ajax game appears doubtful for now."
Appiah joined the Premier Soccer League side in the summer from local giants Asante Kotoko
