Midfielder Ollenu Ashitey insists that he doesn't regret his decision to quit Hearts of Oak to join their sworn rivals three years ago.

Ashitey signed for the Porcupine Warriors in January 2017 after he refused to extend his stint with the Phobians.

The 25-year-old spent only one season at Asante Kotoko as failed to impress in the 2017/2018 Ghana football campaign.

"I don't regret and I'll never regret leaving Hearts of Oak for Asante Kotoko," he told Sikka FM in Kumasi.

Ashitey says he opted to leave Hearts of Oak for Asante Kotoko because of the latter's lucrative offer.

"I left Hearts of Oak for Asante Kotoko because of the 'good money' they offered me. Life is all about money after God."

Ashitey recently signed for Eleven Wonders FC in Techiman as he looks to relaunch himself after almost two years.
