Valentino Mazzola was born in Cassano d'Adda on 26th January 1919. He played in Serie A (256 appearances and 130 goals) with Venezia and Torino. Captain of the Grande Torino, he was 5 times Italian champion with the granata, 2 times winner of the Coppa Italia (1 with Venezia and 1 with Torino), top scorer of the Serie A in 1946/47 with 29 goals, top scorer of the Coppa Italia 1942/43. Valentino Mazzola also has 12 appearances and 4 goals with the National team.
