Ghana’s replicate of Jose Mourinho has launched an astonishing attack on Marcel Desailly quest to become the new Black Stars coach insisting the ex-France captain doesn’t have the right credentials to occupy the vacant post.

Isaac ‘Opeele’ Boateng asked government to steer clear of a substantive replacement for Milovan Rajevac saying the Ghana Football Association is the most qualified to do the job.

Desailly is one of the leading candidates for the job but is seen by some as someone mooted by the sports minister and government operatives.

Even though the Ghana-born legend recently acquired a certificate for the job, he lacks experience which Opeele insists would affect the Black Stars negatively.

“Marcel Desailly is not the right man for the job,” Opeele said on Asempa FM on the fourth anniversary of the start of his professional coaching career.

“The Black Stars job is serious business and we cannot pick coaches just for the fun of it or sentiments.”

Opeele, who is not afraid to speak his mind, reminded the authorities of a tall list of football legends who failed in coaching. He named John Barnes, Ian Wright, Paul Ince, Gullit,  Chrstian Karembeu and Bernard Lama and Basile Bolli as legends who failed to impress as coaches. Opeele who waxed lyrical about his rich knowledge and expertise in football told Moses Antwi Benefo, host of Matters Arising on Asempa FM Tuesday that, the GFA will be taking a great risk if they employ the former French Captain to take over the reigns of the Black Stars.

Opeele Boateng who has received his fair share of public criticism, expressed his dismay at reports linking the World Cup winning player to the top job of the Black Stars.

Opeele Boateng who has also coached local clubs like Mighty Jets said his most difficult experience as a coach was with King Faisal where he had to constantly live with pessimism from supporters and some executives of the club.
