PSL giants Orlando Pirates have intensified their interest in signing Ghana goalkeeper Richard Ofori this summer according to sources.

Pirates have been linked with the Maritzburg United captain for several months and it’s been widely reported that the Soweto side is keen on landing the shot-stopper’s signature.

Ofori recently exercised a one-year extension option on his contract which will keep him at Maritzburg until the end of the 2020/2021 campaign.

However, the Team of Choice may have to prepare for life without the goalkeeper come the end of the season as they are open to letting Ofori go if they receive an impressive offer.

Ofori has also been linked with a move to Mamelodi Sundowns and an European move to Belgian side KAA Gent.

The 26-year-old goalkeeper has been phenomenal in the South African top-flight this season having kept 10 clean sheets in 24 matches.
