Otto Addo hails ‘exceptional’ work ethic in Ghana win over Madagascar

Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo, has praised his team's work ethic as "exceptional" after their 3-0 win over Madagascar in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

The match, played in Morocco, saw Thomas Partey score twice and Mohammed Kudus add another goal, with captain Jordan Ayew registering a hat-trick of assists.

Addo highlighted his team's defensive solidity and execution of free kicks, saying, "The work ethic today was exceptional. We were very solid defensively, and I was happy with that. The execution of the free kicks and positioning in the box were also impressive."

The win marks Ghana's second victory in as many matches in the latest international window, establishing a five-point lead atop Group I standings.

Ghana is now closer to securing qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, aiming to qualify for the fifth time.
