Ghana winger Quincy Owusu-Abeyie will sit out for 15 days after picking a knee injury in Panathinaikos' Europa League win over Maribor on Thursday.

The lightening-paced wing-wizard limped off in the 35th minute after crashing with a Maribor midfielder at the Olympiako Stadio Spyros Louis as the Shamrocks run away with a slim 1-0 win.

Panathinaikos doctors looked at the extent of the injury on Friday morning and have asked the former Arsenal youngster to spend 15 days on the treatment board.

The Greek giants brightened their chances of progressing into the knock out phase of the Europa League with a 1-0 win over the Slovenians.
