Owusu-Abeyie slams Tottenham Hotspur

Panathinaikos' Ghana winger, Quincy Owusu-Abeyie, has expressed shock at Tottenham Hotspurs' lack of zeal and pace in their one-all stalemate in the Europa League.

The 26-year-old Arsenal Academy product who spent three seasons with the Gunners before joining Spartak Moscow in 2006, hugely impressed in the tie and was replaced in the 94th minute.

The London-based club threw away their 1-0 lead on the 77th minute mark and failed to match expectations.

Quincy says it is difficult for him to understand why Tottenham abandoned their signature pacey play.

"They have a team full of pace so it is difficult to explain why the tempo was slow today. Perhaps they wanted to play a slower-paced game and this worked to our advantage in the second half," he said.

The journeyed winger has signed a three-year-deal at the Olympic Stadium.
