'Pairing Kudus and Gravenberch in midfield will expose Ajax to opponents'- Henk Spaan

Dutch Sports Analyst Henk Spaan insists it will be a bad idea to pair Mohammed Kudus and Ryan Gravenberch in the heart of Ajax's midfield.

The Ghanaian youngster starred in his debut Eredivisie game playing alongside Edson Alvarez, but Spaan believes Kudus leaves holes in the middle which bigger clubs can capitalize on.

Kudus started against Waalwijk following the injury of Ryan Gravenberch.

He began by praising the Ghana international on Het Parool,"The statistics were good: high percentage of successful passes, 92.3 percent, 4 shots on goal, but above all an unmeasurable, visible talent and feeling for the ball.

"I saw in Mohammed Kudus an excellent player who left holes open in midfield, who started serving tricks like champagne after closing time and who could tactically use a few extra lessons," he added.

Asked whether Kudus can play with Gravenberch, he responded,"That would be a party for every opponent in the Champions League."
