It has been revealed that Palermo midfielder Franco Vazquez will not be leaving the club, at least until June.
Palermo sporting director Manuel Gerolin has come out to shoot down reports of a possible sale of the 26-year-old attacking midfielder.
“In the summer, we will certainly receive offers [for Franco Vazquez]. Franco is at the international level, he’s a very interesting player, but we’ll certainly be keeping him until June,” declared Gerolin to Sportitalia.
“However, it is logical to sell our best players when they have high demands.”
Vazquez has been strongly linked with Premier League sides Liverpool and Manchester United as well as Italian giants AC Milan, with the Rossoneri reportedly working on preparing an offer to bring the player to the club this summer.
He has made 20 Serie A appearances for his side this season, scoring five goals and making three assists.
