Eintracht Frankfurt’s sporting director Markus Krösche has expressed his excitement about the club’s new partnership with Ghana Premier League side Accra Lions, emphasizing the opportunities it will create for both clubs.

The collaboration, set to begin in June 2025, aims to enhance international presence and promote youth development.

“We are very excited to form a partnership with Accra Lions FC, which opens up new opportunities for both clubs," said Krösche.

"This initiative will not only help us discover talent from Africa, but also contribute to sharing our sporting and organizational experiences with a dynamic club like Accra Lions."

Founded in 2015, Accra Lions finished second in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League, with one of the youngest teams in professional football, boasting an average age under 20.

The club has gained recognition both within and outside of Ghana, thanks to its focus on youth development and a modern training facility.

The partnership will allow Eintracht Frankfurt to scout young West African talent and support their growth through improved training conditions and knowledge sharing.

The collaboration is also expected to help open doors for Accra Lions players in international football.
