Patrick Twumasi cameos as Hannover 96 beat Wuerzburger Kickers to progress in DFB Pokal

Ghana forward Patrick Twumasi climbed off the bench to help Hannover 96 defeat Wuerzburger Kickers in the first round of games in the DFB Pokal. 

Twumasi was introduced in the 84th minute as the Bundesliga II side beat Wuerzburger Kickers 3-2 to progress in the competition.

The Reds started strongly, taking an early lead through Hendrik Weydandt in the 23rd minute.

But the result remained the same until half time.

It was all Hannover for the most part of the second half, with Dominik Kaiser and Timo Huebers scoring to put them 3-0 up.

However, there was late drama when Kickers scored twice in injury time. Arne Feick and Robert Herrman with the goals.

Patrick Twumasi joined the Bundesliga II side in the summer transfer window from Spanish side Levante on a three year deal.
