Patrick Twumasi close to Hannover 96 switch after agreement with Deportivo Alaves

Ghana striker Patrick Twumasi is close to sealing a move to German Bundesliga II side Hannover 96, following an agreement between the club and Spanish outfit Deportivo Alaves. 

The striker is expected to undergo medicals in Germany in the coming days, before completing the move.

Twumasi who spent last season on loan at Turkish side Gazientep fancies a move to Germany despite interests from Hatayaspor and Denizlispor.

The pacy winger struggled to replicate the form that saw him make a big move from Kazakhstan to Spain.

He failed to break into the Alaves first team and had to shipped on loan to Turkey, where he rediscovered his form, helping Gazientep stay in the league.

Gazientep had wanted to sign him on a permanent deal but the interest from Germany was had to reject.

He was also on the radar of VfB Stuttgart.

Twumasi's contract with Deportivo Alaves ends in June 2022.
