Ghanaian players got involved in action before the international break with 9 players hitting the back of the net for their clubs across Europe and Africa. 

INAKI Williams continues to take Spain by storm after scoring an astonishing finish for Athletic Club while Ebenezer Assifuah also powered FC Sion to victory in Switzerland.

There were goals for Grejohn Kyei in France, Godfred Donsah in Italy, Prince Buaben in Scotland and a brace for Okyere Wriedt in Germany.

Defender John Boye picked a red card for his second game in a row for Sivaspor in Turkey and midfielder John Arwuah also suffered similar fate in Cyprus.

ENGLAND

Christian Atsu has returned to Chelsea for treatment and watched his AFC Bournemouth side slipped to a 1-0 home loss against Newcastle United.

Elsewhere at the King Power Stadium, Leicester City claimed a 2-1 win over in-form Watford with Ngolo Kante and Jamie Vardy scoring the goals for the Foxes. Ghana's Jeffrey Schlupp played the opening 45 minutes for Leicester.

Andre Ayew played full throttle for Swansea City in their 1-0 loss at Norwich City. Ghanaian-born Norwegian international Alexander Tettey captained Norwich into the game.

Ghana defender Baba Abdul Rahman started his second Premier League game of the season and played 70 minutes for Chelsea as they recorded their 7th defeat of the season after losing 1-0 at Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.

Jordan Ayew played 84 minutes for Aston Villa in their 0-0 draw with Manchester City on Sunday.

In the Championship, Ghanaian attacker Elvis Manu came off the Brighton & Hove Albion bench to play the last 7 minutes of regulation time when they defeated MK Dons 2-1.

Tariqe Fosu could not make the Reading squad for their 2-0 away loss at Cardiff City.

Former Liberty Professionals youngster Koby Arthur continued to stay out of the Birmingham City team as they consigned Fulham to a heavy 5-2 defeat.

Middlesbrough met their match in Hull City who destroyed them with a 3-0 defeat. Ghana winger Albert Adomah played the entire minutes of the game for Middlesbrough but could not rescue them.

In the FA Cup, Kwame Thomas played for Blackpool in their 2-0 reverse at Barnet.

Defender Jeremy Boakye was booked in the 78th minute when he was in action for Staines in their 6-1 battering by Leyton Orient.

Derek Asamoah played for Carlisle in their 2-0 win  over Plymouth. But there was no Kevin Osei in the Carlisle team.

FRANCE

Manchester City starlet Yaw Yeboah earned his debut start for Lille and played 75 minutes for Herve Renard's men when they drew 1-1 with visiting Bastia.

France-born defender Dennis Appiah was in full time action for Caen when they sneaked past Guingamp 2-1.

Another France-born Ghanaian player Grejohn Kyei climbed off the bench to score the consolation goal for Stade Reims when they lost 2-1 against GFC Ajaccio.

Striker Abdul Majeed Waris watched from the stands at the Stade du Moustoir as his Lorient side posted a heavy 4-1 win over Troyes.

Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah finally played his first game in four months after serving a FIFA ban as he played the entire minutes for Evian TG in their 4-0 hammering of Valenciennes. Ghanaian youth defender Emmanuel Ntim warmed the Valenciennes bench.

Still in France, midfielder Charles Boateng was in action for Avranches who succumbed to a 2-1 loss at Amiens.

Also in the Ligue de National there was full time action for former Gefle IF midfielder Joachim Adukor as he played for Beziers in their 2-0 home loss against Colmar.

NETHERLANDS

Dutch-born Edwin Gyasi assisted the opening goal for Roda JC Kerkrade when they shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with ADO Den Haag on Friday. Ghana forward Richmond Boakye-Yiadom came off the bench in the 62nd minute to play for Roda who finished the game with ten men.

Out-of-sorts Ghanaian attacking midfielder Shadrach Eghan came off the bench to set up the consolation goal for FC Twente as they miseries continued with a 4-1 home loss against Heerenveen. On-loan Manchester City youngster Thomas Agyepong played until the 80th minute for Twente.

Prodigious Ghanaian youngster Derrick Luckassen played in central defence for AZ Alkmaar in their 2-0 away win over Vitesse Arnhem.

Dutch-born Ghanaian center-back Johan Kappelhof halved the deficit for FC Groningen in their 2-2 draw with Cambuur on Sunday.

Ghanaian starlet Rodney Antwi returned to the FC Utrecht team but warmed the bench for their 3-1 away loss at PSV Eindhoven.

German-born Ghanaian defender Marcel Appiah was in the stands to cheer his team-mates for NEC Nijmegen as they smoothly edged De Graafschap 2-0.

In the second-tier league, Raymond Gyasi and Erixon Danso were in action for Emmen when they claimed a 2-1 win over ten-man Achilles 29. Danso, who has naturalised for Aruba, scored the winner for Emmen.

Dutch-born pair of Elton Acolatse and Leeroy Owusu were in the Jong Ajax team that slipped to a 1-0 home loss against Maastricht.

Striker Johnathan Opoku Agyemang enhanced his scoring credentials by scoring the consolation goal for VVV Venlo in their 2-1 loss at KRC Waalwijk on Friday. The goal was his 5th of the season.

SPAIN

Spain-born Ghanaian forward Inaki Williams scored an incredible opening goal for Athletic Bilbao and take his tally to five goals in three games for the La Liga side when he scored the opening goal in their 2-1 win over Espanyol. He was replaced late into the second-half.

But Thomas Teye Partey was axed from the Atletico Madrid squad for their 1-0 home win over Sporting Gijon.

There was no Wakaso Mubarak in the Las Palmas team that defeated Real Sociedad 2-0 in the La Liga on Friday.

Bernard Mensah also failed to make the Getafe squad for their 3-1 away loss at Eibar.

In the Segunda Division defender Kassim Nuhu warmed the Real Mallorca bench in their 0-0 draw with Real Zaragona.

Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Michael Anaba was axed from the Elche FC side defeated ten-man Osasuna side 2-1 on Sunday.

Goalkeeper Razak Braimah was booked in the 25th minute played the entire minutes of the game for Cordoba in their 2-0 loss against Albacete.

Midfielder Fatau Mohammed was in action for Almeria in their clash with Alcorcon on Sunday night.

AUSTRIA

Ghana youth midfielder David Atanga scored the opening goal for Liefering FC in the 2nd minute when they destroyed FAC Wien 5-1 at their own backyard. Black Stars defender Isaac Vorsah came off the Liefering bench in the 78th minute to replace Atanga. But duo Raphael Dwamena and Lawrence Ati-Zigi watched the game from the Liefering bench.

SWITZERLAND

Samuel Afum was not in the BSC Young Boys squad that drew 1-1 with Lugano.

Black Stars striker Ebenezer Assifuah scored the second goal for FC Sion in their 2-0 win over Luzern. The former Liberty Professionals player had assisted the first goal for Sion.

DENMARK

Danish-born Ghanaian midfielder Kevin Mensah scored the consolation goal for Esbjerg in their 4-1 away loss at FC Midtjylland on Sunday. There was no Francis Dickoh in the Midtjylland side.

Versatile Ghana defender Daniel Amartey played in central midfield for FC Copenhagen in their 0-0 draw with Brondby on Sunday. Danish-born Danny Amankwaa was not in the Copenhagen squad for the game.

Ghanaian midfielder Joseph Mensah was in action for AC Horsens in their 1-0 away win over Roskilde.

GERMANY

Ghanaian starlet Gideon Jung was introduced in second-half stoppage-time by Hamburg SV when they shared the spoils in a 1-1 with Darmstadt.

Daniel Opare could not make the Augsburg squad for their 2-1 home loss against Werder Bremen.

In the Bundesliga II, Ghanaian pair of Philemon Ofosu-Ayeh and Joseph Baffo both played the entire match for Eintracht Braunschweig in their 0-0 home draw with 1860 Munich. Baffo was booked in the second-half.

Ghanaian defender Davidson Drobo-Ampem was in action for St Pauli II when they managed a decent 2-1 win against Hannover 96.

Manfred Osei-Kwadow failed to make the Kaiserslautern squad for their 2-0 away win over Red Bulls Leipzig.

Elsewhere 21-year-old Ghanaian midfielder Okyere Wriedt scored both goals for Luneburger Hansa when they won 2-0 against Norderstedt on Sunday.

Aalen and Erfurt drew 2-2. Ghanaian-born Canadian international Randy Edwini-Bonsu warmed the Aalen bench for the entire period of the game.

German-born Reagy Ofosu could not make the Chemnitzer squad for their 2-1 home loss against Aue.

Prince Owusu was also absent from the Stuttgart II squad when they drew 2-2 with Energie Cottbus.

Erich Berko warmed the Stuttgarter Kickers's bench in their 4-1 home loss against Mainz 05 II.

Injured Evans Owusu Nyarko watched from the stands as his Holstein Kiel posted a 3-1 win over Sonnenhof Großaspach.

ITALY

Ghana youth midfielder Godfred Donsah scored in the 14th minute for Bologna and helped them beat his former club - Hellas Verona 2-0 on Saturday evening.

Afriyie Acquah warmed the Torino bench in their 1-0 home loss against leaders Inter Milan at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino.

Kwadwo Asamoah was not in the Juventus side that made it two wins out of two games with a 3-1 win over Empoli.

In-form Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu played the entire duration of the game for Udinese in their 1-0 loss at Napoli on Sunday.

Midfielder Raman Chibsah suffered an injury and was replaced in the 10th minute by Frosinone who drew 2-2 with Genoa.

Sassuolo delighted themselves with a 1-0 win over Carpi. Ghana midfielder pair of Alfred Duncan and Isaac Cofie were on the Sassuolo and Carpi benches respectively.

In the Serie B, on-loan Inter Milan defender Isaac Donkor returned from injury to come off the bench to play for Bari in their 2-1 home win over Salernitana. AC Milan loanee Kingsley Boateng watched the entire game from the bench while 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup midfielder Moses Odjer also played the entire minutes of the game for Salernitana.

Emmanuel Prince Besea sat on the Modena bench in their 2-1 away defeat against Cagliari.

In other games Maxwell Acosty Boadu played until the 93rd minute for Latina who won 1-0 against Cesena.

Pescara suffered a 2-1 home loss against Ternana. Ghanaian international midfielder Ransford Selasi sat on the Pescara bench.

2009 Ghana U20 defender Bright Addae came off the Ascoli bench to play the second-half in their 3-0 loss against Vicenza.

Amidu Salifu warmed the bench for Perugia when they posted a 2-0 win over Lanciano. But defender Masahudu Alhassan was not in the Perugia squad for the game.

In the third-tier league, Alimeyaw Salifu could not make the Pro Patria squad for their 1-0 loss at Alexandria.

Caleb Ekuban played for Renate when they split points with Pavia in a 0-0 draw on Saturday.

Dennis Kumih watched the bench Rimini bench in their 1-0 home defeat against Prato.

Spal dismissed Carrarese with a slender 1-0 defeat. Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Gyasi played 70 minutes for Carrarese. Moro Al-Hassan could not make the Carrarese squad for the game.

Former Fiorentina midfielder Daniel Kofi Agyei played 69 minutes for Casertana in their 2-0 win over Martina Franca on Sunday evening.

PORTUGAL

Former Mighty Jets defender Richard Ofori played in lateral defence for Academica Coimbra in their 1-1 draw with Estoril.

Samuel Inkoom watched from the Boavista bench in their 2-0 loss against Benfica on Sunday evening. Emmanuel Hackmann sat on the Boavista bench.

Alhassan Wakaso was not in the Rio Ave team that lost 3-2 at Maritimo on Sunday.

Ghana U20 forward Osei Barnes played the first 45 minutes for Pacos Ferreira when they lost 2-0 at Moreirense. Emmanuel Boateng sat on the Moreirense bench.

Winger Ishmael Yartey was in action for Gil Vicente in their 1-1 draw with Varzim.

SERBIA

Former Sogakope Red Bulls midfielder Samuel Owusu scored the opening goal for Surdulica as they travelled away to beat Vojvodina 3-2. While the 19-year-old was scoring his third goal of the league season, striker Suraka Zakaria came off the bench in the 95th minute to play against Vojvodina who finished the game with ten men.

Neither Ghanaian Lee Addy nor Obeng Regan was in the FK Cukaricki side that defeat Rad Beograd 1-0.

TURKEY

Black Stars central defender Jerry Akaminko warmed the Eskisehirspor bench when they allowed visiting Osmanlispor to post a 2-0 win over them.

Black Stars defender John Boye returned to action for Sivasspor after suspension but he was sent off once again after picking a double booking as his side won 3-0 against Gaziantepspor.

In the Lig 1, center-back Joseph Attamah was in full time action for Adana Demirspor when they lost 3-2 against Giresunspor.

Still in the second-tier league, Balikesirspor managed a narrow 1-0 win over Kayseri Erciyesspor. Kwame Karikari was unused by Balikesirspor as he warmed the bench for the entire period of the game.

BELGIUM

KV Oostende condemned OH Leuven to a 3-0 defeat. Ghanaian midfielder Samuel Asamoah came off the Leuven bench in the 73rd minute to play in the game.

Ten-man Standard Liege cruised to a sweet 1-0 win over rivals Anderlecht on Sunday. Ghana youth striker Benjamin Tetteh and winger Frank Acheampong both came off their respective benches to play for Liege and Anderlecht respectively.

There was no Eugene Ansah in the Lokeren side that drew 1-1 with St Truiden. But Belgian-born full-back Denis Odoi played for Lokeren.

Waasland-Beveren split points with Westerlo following a 2-2 draw. Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Mitch Apau was in action for Westerlo.

Midfielder Asiedu Attobrah failed to make the first team grades for Kortrijk as they punched their way to a 1-0 win over KV Mechelen.

There was no Bennard Kumordzi in the KRC Genk side that slipped to a 1-0 loss against Club Brugge.

In the Second Division, former Ghana youth striker Kwame Nsor scored the second goal for Seraing FC in their 2-0 win over ASV Geel.

At the Bosuilstadion, Cercle Brugge posted a slim 1-0 win over FC Antwerp. Ghanaian forward William Owusu played for Antwerp.

In other games, there was no Emmanuel Annor, Emmanuel Nyarko and Yakubu Issahaku in the Lierse SK squad when they hammered Tubize 2-0.

CYPRUS

Chris Dickson scored a 15th minute consolation goal for Paralimni in their 3-1 loss at Nea Salamis.

Ghanaian pair of Mustapha Quanyor and Ulyss Ndong played the entire minutes of the game for Ermis who held Apollon Limassol to a 0-0.

Midfielder John Arwuah was sent off in the second-half while he was in action for AEL Limassol in their 2-1 away loss at Doxa. Ghanaian midfielder Carlos Ohene also started the game and played 88 minutes for AEL.

POLAND

Defender Kwame Francis came off the Podbeskidzie bench in the 89th minute to play in their 1-0 against Termalica.

Midfielder Aziz Tetteh came off the bench to play the entire second-half for Lech Poznan in their 3-1 win against ten-man Leczna.

RUSSIA

Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong played 66 minutes for FK Ufa in their 1-0 win over Amkar.

Elsewhere Rabiu Mohammed was booked while in action for Kuban Krasnodar in their 2-1 loss against Dynamo Moscow.

SCOTLAND

Former Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Prince Buaben scored his first goal of the season for Heart of Midlothian in their 2-0 win over Hamilton.

Abdul Osman captained Partick Thistle to a 1-1 draw with Dundee FC.

KAZAKHSTAN

Ghanaian striker Patrick Twumasi warmed the bench for FC Astana in their 1-0 home win over Aktobe on Sunday afternoon.

AFRICA

Ghanaian quintet of Solomon Asante, Richard Kissi-Boateng, Yaw Frimpong, Daniel Nii Adjei and Gladson Awako won the CAF Champions League title with TP Mazembe after defeating USM Algiers 2-0 on Sunday to win 4-1 on aggregate. Asante, Frimpong and Boateng started the game while Nii Adjei came off the bench to play late in the game.

In Egypt, former Hearts of Oak starlet Torric Jebrin assisted a goal for Ismaily in their 4-0 hammering of Haras El Hodood in the Egyptian Premier League. Striker Emmanuel Osei Banahene also played in the game for Ismaily.

CZECH REPUBLIC

Ghana youth pair of Francis Narh and Derrick Mensah started from the Banik Ostrava bench in their 4-0 home loss against Vitoria Plzen. Narh came off the bench to play for Ostrava but Mensah was unused.

Former Liberty Professionals midfielder Isaac Sackey started the game for Slovan Liberec in their 2-1 loss at Brno but Dutch-born Ghanaian Kevin Luckassen was not in their squad for the game.

NORWAY

Stabaek ended their season with a humiliating 6-1 defeat at Bodo/Glimt. Ghanaian trio of Ernest Asante, Anthony Annan and Kamal Issah all started the game for Stabaek. Only Annan was replaced in the second-half of the game.

Nana Boateng assisted the second goal for Stromsgodset and played 79 minutes in their 2-2 draw with Valerenga. His Ghanaian compatriot Mohammed Abu also played the entire 90 minutes of the game Stroms.

In the Promotion play-offs in the second-tier league, striker Dennis Antwi missed his penalty when his Jerv side managed to beat Hodd on penalties to sail through to the final of play-offs.

SWEDEN

Falkenbergs and Sirius shared the spoils in a 0-0 drawn game on Sunday afternoon. Ghanaian forward Godsway Donyoh assisted the goal for Falkenbergs while Kingsley Sarfo played until was replaced in the 78th minute.
