Former Leicester City starlet Joe Dodoo was the star of the weekend among Ghanaian players abroad after scoring a brace to power Rangers in Scotland while on-fire Raphael Dwamena also grabbed a brace in Austria.

There were goals for Ernest Asante in Denmark, Abdul Majeed Waris in France, Albert Adomah, Caleb Ekuban, Nana Poku, Isaac Sackey, Kwame Yeboah, Eric Warden, Akwasi Asante and Emmanuel Hackman.

ENGLAND

Leicester City were held to a 2-2 draw by visiting Middlesbrough at the King Power Stadium. Ghana international Daniel Amartey played the entire 90 minutes for the Foxes but his compatriot Jeffrey Schlupp was unused in the game.

Andre Ayew replaced Manuel Lanzini in West Ham United's 1-1 draw with troubled Manchester United at the Old Trafford on Sunday.

Injury returnee Kwesi Appiah could not make the Crystal Palace squad for their 5-4 loss at Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

Ten-man Barnsley succumbed to a 5-2 home defeat against Nottingham Forest at the Oakwell Stadium. Ghana international defender Andy Yiadom played the entire 90 minutes for Tykes.

Winger Albert Adomah scored the opener for Aston Villa in their 3-1 win over Cardiff City. Jordan Ayew also started the game for Villa but both players were replaced in the second-half.

Denis Odoi played 85 minutes for Fulham in their 2-1 loss at Brighton & Hove Albion. Dutch-born Ghanaian Elvis Manu could not make the Brighton squad for the game.

Chelsea loanee Christian Atsu played the entire 90 minutes for Newcastle United who were beaten 1-0 by Blackburn Rovers.

In the League One, Coventry City slipped to a 2-1 home loss against MK Dons. Burnley loanee Daniel Agyei was unused while Corey Addai failed to make the City squad for the game.

Youngster Nana Kyei warmed the Barnet bench in their 3-2 win over Notts County.

Birmingham City loanee Kobby Arthur returned from injury to warm the bench for Cheltenham Town on their 3-1 loss at Cambridge United.

Derek Asamoah came off the Carlisle United bench in the 84th minute to play in their 5-2 win over Mansfield Town.

Reading loanee Tariqe Fosu warmed the bench for Colchester United in their emphatic 4-0 win over Crewe Alexandria.

Exeter City and Luton Town played a 0-0 draw. Welsh-born Ghanaian kid Ethan Ampadu was introduced by City in the 71st minute.

In the National League, former Arsenal kid Zak Ansah failed to make the grades at Woking as they posted a 3-0 win over Gateshead.

Kevin Amankwaa and Chris Dickson both played for Sutton United in their 2-0 win over Aldershot Town. Ghanaian kid Bernard Mensah played the entire match for Aldershot Town who finished with ten men.

Dutch-born Akwasi Asante scored both goals for Solihull Moors as they beat North Ferriby United 2-0. Elder brother of Manchester United midfielder Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Alfons Fosu-Mensah, warmed the bench for North Ferriby.

In the Premier League Reserves league, Manchester City and Chelsea played a pulsating 2-2 draw. Ghanaian chap Denzel Boadu was introduced in the second-half by City.

NETHERLANDS

Excelsior Rotterdam managed a 2-2 draw with Vitesse Arnhem on Saturday. Dutch-born Ghanaian youth defender Leeroy Owusu warmed the bench for Excelsior.

NEC Nijmegen recorded their first win in five games after beating FC Twente 3-2 at the Goffertstadion. Manchester City loanee Yaw Yeboah started the game for Twente and replaced after the interval but Quincy Owusu-Abeyie came off the bench in the dying embers to play for NEC. German-born Reagy Ofosu was unused by NEC.

Derrick Luckassen was not part of the AZ Alkmaar squad when they defeated Heracles 5-1.

Kumasi-born Portugal youth international Asumah Ankrah Abubakar came off the bench to play the last 15 minutes for Willem II who beat Go Ahead Eagles 1-0.

In the second-tier league, striker Johnatha Opoku played full throttle for VVV-Venlo and fired blank in their 2-0 away triumph over Almere City.

Ajax II sneaked past Telstar 2-1. Ghanaian young defender Terry Lartey Sanniez played 67 minutes for Ajax II.

Rodney Antwi was in full time action for FC Utrecht II who slipped to a 4-2 loss against Oss.

Former Newcastle United starlet Frank Wiafe-Danquah watched the entire game from the Fortuna Sittard bench as they suffered a 1-0 loss against Helmond Sport.

In the third-tier league, veteran defender Carlos Opoku played for Koninklijke HFC in their 3-0 away win over Excelsior Maassluis.

Felicia Ofori Lovette played for Sparta II in their 4-0 hammering of UNA.

16-year-old defender Elton Kusi sat on the Vitesse Arnhem II bench in their 3-0 loss at Katwijk. Aaron Kwarko, 17, could not make the Vitesse squad for the game.

FRANCE

Striker Abdul Majeed Waris scored his first league goal in 9 months for Lorient in their 3-3 draw with Metz on Saturday night.

Meanwhile French-born Ghanaian youngster Enock Kwateng played in lateral defence for Nantes who shared the spoils with Lille in a 0-0 draw.

Ghana U20 defender Geoffrey Acheampong could not make the Bastia squad for their 1-1 draw with OGC Nice in the Ligue 1 on Sunday.

Ghana youth defender Emmanuel Ntim starred in defence for Valenciennes who surprised themselves with a 2-0 away win over Orléans in the Ligue 2 on Friday.

Elsewhere in the third-tier league, former Ghana U17 attacking midfielder Charles Boateng was booked in the 76th minute and played full time for Avranches in their 2-2 draw at Belfort.

GERMANY

Daniel Opare is still without first team action this season in the Bundesliga as he was left out of the Augsburg in their 0-0 draw at FC Cologne on Saturday.

Hamburg SV and Werder Bremen shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw at the Volksparkstadion. German-born Ghanaian kid Gideon Jung featured in the entire 90 minutes for under-performing Hamburg.

Schalke 04 coasted to a 3-1 win over Darmstadt. Defender Baba Rahman warmed the bench for the Royal Blues but youngster Bernard Tekpetey could not make their squad for the game.

Youngster Mike Owusu could not make the Hertha Berlin II squad for their 1-1 draw with Wacker Nordhausen in the Regionalliga on Friday.

In other games, Eintracht Brauschweig II suffered a 1-0 home loss against Meppen. Ghanaian duo of Gyamfi Kyeremeh and Braydon Manu played for Braunschweig.

Phil Ofosu-Ayeh was introduced in stoppage-time by Eintracht Braunschweig who beat 1860 Munich 2-1. Ghanaian-born Swedish youth international Joe Baffo was not in their squad for the game.

Heidenheim posted a 2-0 win over St Pauli. Ghana youth midfielder David Atanga could not make the winners squad.

Erich Berko assisted the second goal for Dynamo Dresden who drew 2-2 with Bochum. Jans Gyamerah was introduced in the 71st minute by Bochum.

Defender Kwame Kusi could not make the Fortuna Koln squad for their 2-2 draw at Paderborn on Saturday.

There was no Evans Owusu Nyarko in the Holstein Kiel side that won 2-1 against Jahn Regensburg.

Midfielder Manfred Osei-Kwadwo was in full time action for Sonnenhof who lost 1-0 against Werder Bremen II.

Striker Okyere Wriedt scored a 15th minute opener for Osnabruck in their 3-0 win over Sportfreunde Lotte. Defender Marcel Appiah also played 90 minutes for the winners.

Prince Owusu was introduced in the second-half by Stuttgart II who lost 2-1 against Astoria Walldorf.

Kwame Yeboah scored the opener for Borussia M'gladbach II in their 3-0 win over Schalke 04 II. 20-year-old defender Steffen Nkansah was at the heart of defence for the winners.

American-born Joe Gyau warmed the Dortmund II bench in their 2-1 win over Koln II.

ITALY

Midfielder Godfred Donsah watched from the bench as his Bologna side suffered a 2-0 home loss to Atalanta.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu warmed the bench for Udinese in their 2-1 away loss to Cagliari.

Isaac Cofie was booked in the 81st minute and starred in midfield for Genoa who shocked Juventus 3-1. Midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah sat on the Juventus bench.

Midfielder Afriyie Acquah was introduced to play the last 7 minutes for Torino who defeated Chievo Verona 2-1.

In the Serie B, defender Bright Addae was shifted to a defensive midfield role by Ascoli who lost 1-0 against Brescia.

Perugia and Novara shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw. Both Masahudu Alhassan and Ransford Selasi were bench warmers.

Latina earned a point after holding SPAL to a 0-0 draw. There was no Maxwell Acosty in the Latina squad while forward Richmond Boakye-Yiadom remains out with injury.

Raman Chibsah played the entire match for Benevento in their 0-0 draw with Vicenza. But Inter Milan loanee Bright Gyamfi was a bench warmer.

Patrick Asmah played full throttle for Avellino in their 3-0 loss at Cesena. But Isaac Donkor warmed the bench.

Former AC Milan forward Kingsley Boateng warmed the Bari bench in their 1-0 loss at Hellas Verona.

In the third-tier league, Daniel Kofi Agyei played 84 minutes for Ancona to inspire them to a 2-1 win over Parma.

Youngster Alimeyaw Salifu warmed the bench for Modena in their 2-0 loss at Santarcangelo.

Elsewhere former Inter Milan Primavera midfielder Isaac Ntow Tuah starred in midfield for Sambenedettese as they drew 1-1 with AlbinoLeffe.

AUSTRIA

Ghanaian attacker Kevin Luckassen warmed the bench for St Polten who won 2-1 at Ried on Saturday in the Bundesliga.

Former AshantiGold defender Kadri Mohammed warmed the bench for Austria Wien in their 3-0 win over Wolfsberger AC on Sunday.

Austria Lustenau lost their leadership of the Liga 1 after losing 4-2 against LASK Linz on Friday night. In-form Ghanaian forward Raphael Dwamena scored on the 9th and 82nd minutes to register his 20th goal of the season. But former WAFA defender Kennedy Boateng could not make the Linz squad for the game.

Liefering shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Horn at the Das.Goldberg Stadion. Ghanaian trio of Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Gideon Mensah and Samuel Tetteh all played the full throttle for Liefering. While Dutch-born Kevin Tano was introduced in the 67th minute by the visitors.

BELGIUM

Midfielder Nana Ampomah was introduced in the 62nd minute by Waasland-Bevern who lost 1-0 against Sporting Chaleroi.

Winger Frank Acheampong was dropped to the Anderlecht bench when they hammered Royal Mouscron 7-0. The Black Stars winger came off the bench to play but youngster Emmanuel Adjei-Sowah was unused while Dennis Appiah is recuperating from a calf surgery.

Former Liberty Professionals striker Eugene Ansah warmed the bench for Lokeren in their 1-0 win over Sint Truiden.

Bennard Kumordzi came off the bench to play the last 12 minutes for Genk who were destroyed 6-0 by KV Oostende.

Nana Kwesi Asare played 82 minutes for Gent in their 3-0 win over Kortrijk.

KAS Eupen and Westerlo played a 3-3 draw on Saturday. There was no Eric Ocansey in the Eupen team but youngster Elton Acolatse warmed the visitors bench while Mitch Apau was not in their squad.

In the First Division B, Ghanaian defender Issahaku Yakubu played full throttle for Lierse SK who lost 2-1 to ten-man SV Roeselare. Charles Ankomah warmed the bench for Lierse.

In other games forward William Owusu Acheampong played the full 90 minutes for FC Antwerp in their 2-0 win over Union Saint-Gilloise.

DENMARK

Midfielder Joseph Mensah watched from the stands as his Horsens side were battered 5-1 by AGF.

Ernest Asante scored the second goal for Nordsjaelland who held Esbjerg to a 2-2 draw. Striker Godsway Donyoh also played for Nordsjaelland while former Manchester City starlet Divine Naah was introduced in the second-half. Danish-born Ghanaian Kevin Mensah was not in the Esbjerg squad for the game.

Midfielder Moro Ibrahim was in full time action for Silkeborg in their 2-1 loss at Brondby.

EGYPT

Striker Nana Poku scored both goal to inspire Lel Masaka to a 2-1 victory over Petrojet in the Premier League on Friday.

Striker Samuel Afum played for Wadi Degla in their 1-0 loss at Al Masry on Saturday.

BELARUS

Joel Fameyeh was replaced by Dickson Afoakwah when their Dinamo Brest side beat Vitebsk 3-0 in the Premier League. Youngster Latif Amadu warmed their bench.

GREECE

PAS Giannina posted a 2-0 win over a ten-man Veria side. Ghanaian pair of Jeffrey Sarpong and Michael Esigba played for Veria.

Owusu-Ansah Kontor warmed the bench for Larissa in their 1-1 draw with Asteras Tripolis on Saturday.

Wakaso Mubarak was replaced in the 78th minute as his Panathinaikos side drew 1-1 with Panionios.

Ghanaian midfielder Joachim Adukor was in full time action for OFI Crete who posted a 2-0 win over bottom-placed Panelefsiniakos on Friday.

Agrotikos Asteras defeated Kallithea 5-3. Former Bechem United striker Eric Warden scored one of the consolation goals for Kallithea.

PORTUGAL

Midfielder Alhassan Wakaso was not part of Rio Ave side that won 1-0 against Vitoria Setubal in the top-flight on Friday.

Youngster Osei Barnes played 61 minutes for Pacos Feirrera in their 1-0 loss at Arouca.

Emmanuel Boateng was not part of the Moreirense side that lost 3-0 against leaders Benfica.

Atletico Madrid loanee Bernard Mensah came off the bench in the 53rd minute to place for Vitoria Guimaraes in their 2-1 loss at Tondela.

In the Segunda Division, former Liberty Professionals defender Emmanuel Hackman scored the only goal of the match for Desportivo Aves who beat Portimonense 1-0. Lumor Agbenyenu played for the losers but Emmanuel Sarpong was not part of their squad.

Former Ghana U17 player Emmanuel Oti was not part of the Sporting Braga II side that drew 2-2 with Olhanense.

Defender Richard Ofori, Henry Mendarius and Prince Agyemang all played for Sporting Covilha in their 1-0 win over Academico Viseu.

POLAND

Former Liberty Professionals midfielder Aziz Tetteh was introduced in the 63rd minute by Lech Poznan who won 3-0 at the Zagłębie Lubin.

QATAR

Former Ghana U20 forward John Benson and Fred Dabanka were both in full time action for Al Ahli when they held Al Sailiya to a 3-3 draw at their own backyard.

On Thursday Al Gharafa posted a 2-1 win over Al Khor. Ghanaian Mohammed Razaq scored the winner while Rashid Sumaila, Kwasi George and Lawrence Awuley Quaye all played for the winners.

TURKEY

Former Liberty Professionals midfielder Isaac Sackey scored the opener for Alanyaspor in their 3-0 win over Kayserispor in the Super Lig on Friday. Former Hearts of Oak center-back Nuru Sulley impressed in defence for the winners.

Former Granada CF midfielder Fatau Mohammed came off the Gaziantespor bench in the 69th minute to play in their 2-0 loss at Karabükspor.

Former Liberty Professionals midfielder Kamal Issah suffered an injury and was replaced in the 32nd minute by Gençlerbirliği who drew 0-0 draw with Trabzonspor.

Ghana defender Joseph Attamah came off the bench in the 40th minute to make his Super Lig debut for Istanbul in their 1-1 draw with Besiktas on Saturday.

There was no Samuel Inkoom in the Antalyaspor team in their 1-0 win over Adanaspor.

Meanwhile in the second-tier league, defender John Boye played in central defence for Sivasspor who defeated Eskişehirspor 2-0. Ghanaian defender Jerry Akaminko warmed the bench for the losers.

SCOTLAND

Former Leicester City forward Joe Dodoo came off the bench to score both goals to inspire Rangers to a 2-1 win over Partick Thistle. Ghanaian midfielder Abdul Osman captained the Thistles in the game.

Former Ajax and Watford midfielder Prince Buaben Abankwah watched from the bench at the Tynecastle Stadium as his Heart of Midlothian cruised to a 3-0 win over Motherwell on Saturday.

ALBANIA

Former Chievo Verona youth team attacker Caleb Ekuban scored the only goal of the match for FK Partizani who pipped Teuta Durrës 1-0.

BULGARIA

Attacker Francis Narh was in action for Levski Sofia who lost 2-1 against Lokomotiv Plovdiv at their favourite home grounds.

CZECH REPUBLIC

Former Ghana youth midfielder Derrick Mensah failed to make the Karvina squad for their 3-0 win over Bohemians 1905 in the top-flight.

Standard Liege loanee Benjamin Tetteh sat on the bench for nine-man Slovacko who drew 2-2 with Slovan Liberec.

RUSSIA

Neither Awal Mohammed nor Emmanuel Frimpong made the Arsenal Tula squad for their 1-0 loss at Amkar Perm' in the Premier League.

There was no Jonathan Mensah or Rabiu Mohammed in the Anzhi side that lost 2-0 against Rostov.

SPAIN

Thomas Partey was introduced in the second-half by Atletico Madrid who defeated Celta de Vigo 3-0.

Black Stars goalkeeper Razak Brimah continued his bench warming exercise at Cordoba as he watched from the bench in their 3-1 home loss against Getafe.

Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Michael Anaba played the entire match bottom-placed Eldense who lost 2-0 against Valencia II.

Midfielder Alex Kyeremeh came off the bench to play for Albacete in their 6-0 win over Toledo.

Former Atletico Madrid starlet Benjamin Asamoah Akoto warmed the bench for L'Hospitalet who lost 4-0 against Barcelona B.

UKRAINE

Striker Kwame Karikari played the last 25 minutes for Stal Kamianske in their 1-0 home loss against Vorskla.

ROMANIA

Midfielder Sulley Muniru warmed the bench for Steaua Bucuresti in their 0-0 draw with Botoşani.

SWITZERLAND

Ebenezer Assifuah was a second-half substitute by FC Sion when they lost 2-1 to FC Basel. Ishmael Yartey was not in the Sion squad for the game.

Kassim Nuhu and Kwadwo Duah were both in the Young Boys team that beat Lausanne Sport 2-0.
