Manchester City vs Real Madrid Prediction
We predict Manchester City to win 3-1. Real Madrid blew their chances to head into the second leg in charge when they let Manchester City score three goals in Spain, and that’s a mistake Man City wouldn’t do in Manchester. The last time they hosted the Whites, it ended in a commanding 4-0 win for Pep Guardiola’s men, and we are heavily backing the reigning England and World champions to do the same again.
There’s a chance Real Madrid will score and Manchester City will win. Both teams are superb goalscoring sides, and with City struggling to keep clean sheets, we expect them to win without keeping a clean slate.
Match Preview: Manchester City vs Real Madrid
Manchester City welcome Real Madrid in Manchester coming off a comfortable 5-1 win over Luton Town. They move to the top of the Premier League table after Liverpool and Arsenal succumbed to narrow defeats at their respective homes. The first leg ended in a mouth-watering 3-3 draw in Spain, but the Citizens will want to complete the job in Manchester this week and set up a semi-final clash against Premier League rivals, Arsenal, or Bayern Munich.
Real Madrid also are in decent shape, having bounced back to winning ways last time out with a tight 1-0 win over Mallorca away from home. They were held to a 3-3 draw at home by Manchester City in the first leg, but they will want to avoid last season’s embarrassing 4-0 defeat to Man City again when both teams cross paths for the second leg in Manchester.
Predicted Starting Lineups
Man City: Ederson, Lewis, Dias, Akanji, Gvardiol, Rodri, De Bruyne, Kovacic, Foden, Haaland, Doku
Real Madrid: Lunin, Carvajal, Eder, Rudiger, Mendy, Kroos, Camavinga, Valverde, Bellingham, Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr.
