Philippe Coutinho has rejected claims he holds a grudge against Daniel Levy over the collapse of a proposed transfer from Barcelona to Tottenham.
Coutinho's agent Kia Joorabchian spoke out after reports in Spain blamed the failed move last year on the demands of Spurs chairman Levy.
'Phillipe Coutinho has no personal issue with Daniel Levy and claims otherwise are totally false,' said Joorabchian. 'The deal did not collapse due to financial reasons.'
Coutinho joined Barcelona from Liverpool for £142m in January 2018 but did not make the desired impact at the Nou Camp and was available last summer.
The 27-year-old has been on-loan at Bayern Munich but they are unlikely to take up their option of making the move permanent at the end of the campaign.
The Brazilian has scored nine goals and made eight assists in 32 appearances for the Germans in a mixed spell.
However, several Premier League clubs could still be interested in securing his services on a temporary basis.
This includes Spurs as well Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal who could all make a move.
Barcelona are thought to be keen to get high-earner Coutinho off the wage bill with finances stretched during the indefinite postponement of football due to the coronavirus crisis.
During his two years at the club he has made 76 appearances, scoring 21 goals and making 11 assists.
