PHOTOS: Black Stars hold first training ahead of 2018 World Cup qualifier against Uganda

Black Stars players on Tuesday morning began preparations for their opening 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Uganda in Tamale.

The team trained at the Accra sports stadium with 20 of the invited 23 players present as Grant accessed his team’s readiness for the tricky clash against the Cranes.

Leicester city winger Jeffrey Schlupp, Spanish based Thomas Partey and goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey were the only players to miss the training.

The first training of the team slated for Monday was called off and rescheduled to today as majority of the players had not arrived in the country at the time.

The team will step up preparations in Tamale as they travel to the Northern region at 4pm.

Ghana who seeking a fourth successive appearance at the global stage will lock horns with Uganda counterparts at the Tamale sports stadium on Friday, October 7.
