The Black Stars are ready for a decisive clash against Angola on Friday night.
They aim to keep their hopes alive of qualifying for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
The Ghanaian national team received a boost on Thursday after Niger delivered a surprise 4-0 victory against Sudan in Group F’s penultimate round of qualifiers. Although this result has temporarily dropped Ghana to the bottom of the Group F standings, it offers a silver lining.
A win against Angola on Friday would propel the Black Stars back to third place, leaving them just two points shy of second-placed Sudan.
In preparation for this critical AFCON qualifier, Coach Otto Addo led the team through an intense training session on Thursday evening.
The players showed high levels of motivation and focus, determined to secure a vital win against Angola. The squad is aware that only a win will keep their qualification dreams alive.

However, a victory against Angola alone will not be sufficient. The Black Stars must also defeat Niger in their next match on Monday, November 18, while hoping for an Angola victory over Sudan on the same day to enhance their chances of making it to the 2025 AFCON.
The much-anticipated encounter between Angola and Ghana is set to kick off at 7 p.m. on Friday night.
