Ghanaian midfielder Kwame Bonsu has won his second trophy with Tunisian giants Esperance after a penalty shootout victory over rivals CS Sfaxien in the Super Cup.

The former Kotoko player is adding the Super Cup triumph to the league title he won at the end of last season. He played the entire duration of the Cup win.

After a nerve racking 90 minutes of football, both sides failed to score and the game had to be decided from the spot.

Esperance had dominated the game but thanks to the heroics of Sfaxien goalie Dahmane, who kept his side in the game till the end.

However, when it mattered most from the spot, it was the League champions who triumphed.

Kwame Bonsu joined the Blood and Golds from Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko in 2019 and has since been an integral member of the team.

The trophy is the fifth Super Cup title triumph by Esperance.
