PHOTOS: Phoenix Rising captain Solomon Asante meets Columbus Crew stars Mensah & Afful

Solomon Asante caught up with compatriots Jonathan Mensah and Harrison Afful after a pre-season match between Phoenix Rising and Columbus Crew on Saturday evening.

Midfielder Lucas Zelarayán curled in a back-post cross to a wide-open Gyasi Zardes to lift Columbus Crew SC to a 1-0 victory over Phoenix Rising FC in the opening match of the 2020 Visit Tucson Sun Cup in Tucson, Arizona.

Asante captain Phoenix in the match while compatriots Mensah and Afful also featured for the Crew.

In the aftermath of the match, the trio had a nice chat in the dressing room before joining their respective teammates.

Asante will lead Phoenix Rising once again when the United Soccer League Championship kicks off on Friday, March 6.

Mensah and Afful are also expected to play important roles for Crew in the 2020 Major League Soccer which is set to commence on February 29.
