Pique has to be restrained as he approaches the referee at full time

Although he didn't play a single minute of Saturday's Clasico, Gerard Pique didn't hesitate to make his feelings known to the referee at the full time whistle.

The Barcelona substitute approached Jesus Gil Manzano on the pitch at the Estadio Di Stefano and had to be restrained by club delegate Carlos Naval.

Pique was visibly disgruntled with Gil Manzano before venting his anger at Naval for trying to lead him away from the referee.

Ronaldo Koeman had also approached the referee to complain. Barcelona had expected more time to be added on for a stoppage to fix the official's equipment.

What's more, Barcelona were dismayed at the decision not to award a penalty for Ferland Mendy's challenge on Martin Braithwaite in the second half.

Pique also had a clash with Luka Modric, who appeared to say that the centre-back was complaining like always. Yet Modric went down the tunnel and nothing more came of it.
