Fiorentina came from behind to beat Inter 2-1 in Sunday evening’s Serie A fixture at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Inter

Samir Handanovic – 5.5 – Unfortunate

Kept out an early onslaught before denying a Matias Vecino header on the stroke of half-time. Though his parry off Mauro Zarate’s ball gifted Fiorentina the winner.

Yuto Nagatomo – 5 – Meagre

Provided a lot of off the ball work tracking back on Fiorentina’s breaks though was overpowered and he lost out to Khouma Babacar for the winner.

Jeison Murillo – 4.5 – Disappointing

Not his best game, caught out a number of times in Inter’s defence with his ineffective header sailing directly into Borja Valero’s path for the opener.

Miranda– 5.5 – Average

Not the rock he was earlier in the season but provided a strong presence in keeping Nikola Kalinic out for much of the game.

Alex Telles – 5.5 – Drama

Telles was at the heart of everything in defense, making a few early interceptions on Federico Bernadeschi on the break before picking up a yellow for pulling Tello back. Provided an important goal-line clearance from an Ilicic strike, luckily survived a handball appeal before seeing red for a second yellow in the 83rd minute.

Marcelo Brozovic – 6 – Mixed Bag

Not the most efficient midfield display, giving possession away a number of times before finding himself on the end of a Palacio cut-back to open the scoring.

Gary Medel – 6 – Fiery

A typically physical performance from the Chilean midfielder, picking up a needless first-half yellow for dissent. Played a vital role in front of the Inter defence.

Geoffrey Kondogbia – 5 – Needless

Starting to look more comfortable in Inter’s midfield trio and provided the ball for Palacio to set up the opener. Still liable to a bad touch and picked up an inexcusable red card after full-time for dissent.

Eder – 4.5 – Non-existent

The winter import struggled to have any significant touches on the ball and went missing for much of the game.

Mauro Icardi – 5.5 – Searched

Tried to get himself involved in the play, even finding himself on the wings at times. Was marked well though this enabled space for Brozovic’s opener.

Rodrigo Palacio – 7.5 – Influential

Arguably the best on pitch for Inter, providing a huge work-rate in attack and tracking back on Fiorentina breaks. Involved twice in the lead up to the opening goal, eventually providing the assist via a cut-back to Brozovic.

Substitutes

Ivan Perisic (71 mins) – 5.5 – Energetic

Provided instant energy to Inter’s attack and looked dangerous on the ball though faded after Telles’ red card.

D’Ambrosio (84 mins) – N/A

Jonathan Biabiany (86 mins) – N/A
