Napoli
Pepe Reina â 6 â Calm
Didn’t have much chance with Bonaventura’s shot which beat him from close range just before half-time, and made a good late stop to deny Honda in what would have being an undeserved winner for Milan.
Elseid Hysaj â 6 â Dangerous
Got forward on numerous occasions in the first half and looked dangerous but faded as the game wore on. A wild shot over on 54 minutes was as close as he came to scoring.
Raul Albiol â 5.5 â Steady
Kept a tight rein on Carlos Bacca and didn’t give the Colombian or his strike partner Niang much change.
Kalidou Koulibaly â 6 â Unfortunate
Can claim an unwanted assist for the Milan goal as Honda’s cross skidded off the Senegal international’s head and land at Bonaventura’s feet. Rock solid when called upon otherwise to deal with Milan’s odd counter attack in the second half.
Faouzi Ghoulam â 5.5 â Wayward
Created space for himself to put some crosses in but his delivery let him down, hitting the first man or picking out a Milan defender instead of one of his own forwards.
Allan â 6.5 â Dynamo
Ran himself into the ground in a dynamic display. Always willing to get on the ball and set up Higuain for a chance in the first half.
Jorginho â 6 â Playmaker
Played just in front of the Napoli defence in the Regista role and began most of the Partenopei’s attacks.
Marek Hamsik â 6 â Spirited
Always available to take the passes from Jorginho and Allan and took up some good positions in attacking areas but didn’t get any joy in front of goal.
Jose Callejon â 5 â Ineffective
Had a good chance to score on 32 minutes, but his tame effort was easily saved. Not as accurate with his crosses as usual and was replaced just after the hour by Dries Mertens.
Gonzalo Higuain â 6 â Average
The leagues top scorer had an off night in front of goal. Had a couple of deflected shots in each half and had a great chance near full-time but hit a tame shot when a lay off might have being more beneficial for his side.
Lorenzo Insigne â 6.5 â Lively
Looked lively early on as the home side piled on the pressure and struck the opening goal on the night with a right-foot shot which took a wicked deflection off Abate and beat Donnarumma in the Milan goal.
