Asante Kotoko head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, is bracing for a challenging encounter against Young Apostles in their upcoming Ghana Premier League clash.

The Porcupine Warriors are set to host the league newcomers on matchday three of the 2024/25 season at the Len Clay Stadium this Sunday, September 22.

In a pre-match interview with the club's media team, Dr Ogum acknowledged the difficulty of facing debutants like Young Apostles, citing the lack of tactical information available on them.

“It’s always a challenge because you don’t have much tactical data on teams like this, which adds an extra layer of difficulty," he explained.

He further noted, “Every team that faces Kotoko wants to make a statement, and as a new team in the Ghana Premier League, they’ll likely push even harder to deliver a strong performance."

Asante Kotoko are looking to build on their promising start to the season, following a 1-0 victory over Karela United in their opener at the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex.
