PLB boss demands improvement in officiating

Ghana Premier League boss Welbeck Abra-Appiah wants an improved refereeing when the second half of the season resumes this weekend.

Some officials suffered various degrees of punishments during the first round over poor officiating.

and the country’s Premier League boss wants an improved performance from match officials.

"The league will continue on Sunday and I want to urge the referee to be at their best so they avoid unnecessary criticism,” Abra-Appiah said

"We instituted the refereeing review committee this season as a measure to check our officials and so far it has proven to be very positive.

"I believe if they keep their eyes on the ball and be fair to all parties, we wouldn’t be any problems at all in the second round."
