Pogba exit talk dismissed

Published on: 10 July 2019

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made it clear that he has not received bids for any players this summer - including Paul Pogba.

The France international, who has been linked with moves to Real Madrid and Juventus, said recently that this "could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else".

Romelu Lukaku has also been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer but for the time being the Belgium international remains a United player.

When asked about Pogba during United's pre-season tour of Australia, Solskjaer said: "There has been loads of talk and speculation, of course, about all our players or many of our players, both ins and outs.

"For me, it's business as usual. When you're Man United, you expect all these things to pop up in the summer.

"Of course I've been in touch with Paul, spoken to Paul. Spoken to Rom [Romelu Lukaku], spoken to Rashy [Marcus Rashford], Jesse [Lingard] - I’ve spoken to all the players, more or less, over the summer.

"As far as I'm aware and up to now, we don't have any bids for any of our players. We are Man United - we don't have to sell players."

Since the end of last season Solskjaer has signed Daniel James from Swansea City and Crystal Palace's Aaron Wan-Bissaka, while Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia have left the club.

Manchester United are 25/1 to win the Premier League title in 2019/20 and 11/10 to finish in the top four while they are available at 11/10 to beat Chelsea in their first game of the new season on 11th August.
