Berekum Police are investigating the death of five fans of Berekum Arsenals who died in fatal motor accident on their way home from watching the club's final league match.
They died on the spot when their car crashed into a heavy vehicle at Mankraso Nkwanta.
The men were on their way back from Cape Coast after watching Berekum Arsenals beat New Edubiase 3-1 to maintain their league status.
"It's a sad moment for the people of Berekum and certainly the incident has shattered all of us. We express our condolences to the bereaved families and we believe that the good Lord knows best," Arsenal Accra representative Kwame Ntow Fianko said.
