Chelsea FC is apparently already planning for the time after Edouard Mendy (29). As the 'Sun' reports, the Blues are aiming for a transfer of young goalkeeper James Beadle in order to build him up to the future number one. The 17-year-old currently plays in the youth of the English third division club Charlton Athletic.
Beadle has not yet signed a professional contract, so Chelsea would only have to pay a small training compensation for the English junior international. According to the report, there is another interested party with Brighton & Hove Albion. However, the Londoners are in pole position. Beadle is still waiting for his professional debut. In the EFL Trophy he was allowed to sit on the bench at least once.
