Premier League clubs jet off for international training grounds

Published on: 16 February 2016

A number of Premier League clubs have a free weekend ahead due to being knocked out of the FA Cup and have chosen to use the time to train elsewhere across the globe.

Stoke and Sunderland travel to Dubai, although Stoke manager Mark Hughes has warned that his teams trip is 'no jolly'. While Norwich are in nearby Abu Dhabi and Sunderland's north-east neighbours Newcastle will spend time in La Manga. Not all clubs are going away however, with Aston Villa, Leicester, Southampton and Swansea all remaining in the UK.
