Premier League Tickets: Watch Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal this month

Published on: 13 October 2011

The first couple of months of the Premier League season have been full of excitement, surprises, and goals, goals, goals.

This month, a few must-see rivalry clashes are front and center. Reigning champions and current league leaders Manchester United face their two fiercest rivals on back-to-back weeks, while the last big match of the month sees Chelsea host Arsenal in a battle of London rivals.

Premier League tickets are always a hot item, especially when it comes to rivalry matches like this one, but with TicketBis, you don’t have to worry about missing out on seeing some of the best players and teams in the world face off.

15 October: Liverpool v. Manchester United

Matches between North West rivals Liverpool and Manchester United are always high-intensity matches, and it’s a guarantee that Saturday afternoon’s showdown at Anfield will be no different.

Reigning champions United are off to a fine start this season and top the table coming out of the international break, but Liverpool have beaten United in each of the last three meetings at Anfield.

It looks like both teams could have their captains back for this encounter, as Steven Gerrard has returned from a long-term groin injury and is set to make his first Premier League start in seven months, while United skipper Nemanja Vidic could return for Saturday’s match after missing the last two months with a calf injury.

23 October: Manchester United v. Manchester City

Manchester derbies are always a focus of attention, but there might be more anticipation and significance in these matches than ever before, as this looks to be the season that City mount a serious title challenge.

As is has often been the case in the English Premier League era, the road to the Premier League title leads directly through Old Trafford, and this year is no different. So, if City want to prove that they’re genuine title contenders, there’d be no better way to do it than coming out on top when these two face off on 23 October.

However, there are few teams in the world that are as formidable at home as United, and that is why they’re perennially among the top contenders in the Premier League and Champions League and why they’ll be favorites when City come to Old Trafford.

29 October: Chelsea v. Arsenal

While Chelsea look to be settling in under new manager Andre Villas-Boas and appear to once again be a Premier League title contender as has been the case throughout the Roman Abramovich era, things don’t look nearly as rosy for Arsenal.

The Gunners have won only two of their first seven Premier League matches and are already 12 points behind United in the table. They’ve been extremely poor away from home, having surrendered 14 goals in four away matches. That doesn’t bode well for their visit to Chelsea on October 29, considering that the Blues have netted nine goals in winning their first three home matches of the season.

All signs point to a Chelsea win, but perhaps this match could be the one where Arsenal end their away struggles and start to truly turn their season around. It will take maximum effort though, as Stamford Bridge is one of the toughest places in the Premier League and in Europe to get an away win.
